This is what would happen should you put George R Martin's Game Of Thrones and Elder Scrolls: Skyrim into a blender. Add a touch of norse mythology for good measure. Dark and intriguing plot filled with many characters that are masterfully developed (especially for a game), simply jaw dropping graphics and presentation to boot.. - Story, Spoiler Free The game is set in a norse mythology rich medieval world. Geralt of Rivia, our protagonist, is a Witcher. A professional monster slayer for hire, and an intelligent character with a good sense of black humour. Read more 17 of 19 people found the following review helpful  Potentially great, but held back by annoying issues!, = Fun: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - Enhanced Edition (Xbox 360) (Video Game) First the good: The story, setting, characters, atmosphere, graphics, (although not as good as many are making out), and the way in which you can influence the story, based on your choices.Here is what is ruining it for me: the controls-they lack precision, and your character feels very light, the awkward and fiddly menu-system, side-quests trigger too easily, taking you off your current quest, the loading is too intrusive-every time you go through a door, even if the room beyond is tiny, there is an annoying wait, and finally the graphics. Many have hailed this as the best looking console game of this generation. There is no doubt that the art is fantastic, and also some of the lighting effects. But like Crysis 2, there are issues. Pop-in, pop-up, the backgrounds can have a washed-out look. There are a few frame-rate issues (although not to the detriment of the gameplay). In my opinion, Mass Effect 3, Gears of War 3, Uncharted 3, and God of War 3 all look a lot... Read more 23 of 26 people found the following review helpful Amazing, By = Fun: This review is from: The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - Enhanced Edition (Xbox 360) (Video Game) I played the Witcher 2 on PC and it looked incredible, it's funny how a small Polish developer managedto produce a fantastic PC exclusive (at the time) which put most big budget western games to shame. The developer CD Projekt has hand-signed all launch copies of the game sold by Amazon, plus this Enhanced Edition has all the DLC & new content included for free - this should tell you something about CD Projekt. The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition for 360 has a more joypad friendly control scheme (more so than even the PC version which already fully supported controllers). That's not all, the Enhanced Edition also brings several graphical improvements, with much better lighting being the most visible improvement - even on the 360 it's very obvious.
