I've been keeping my cravings for Diablo 3 in check (And my bank balance low) by buying almost anything with Diablo written on it. Luckily with the SteelSeries products, that isn't too much of a foolish mistake.
These headphones are very light, well built and comfortable. The pulsating glowing rings around each ear really gets my geek juices flowing - It's a great looking piece of kit. As a fan of Diablo who was looking for a new headset to enjoy, I could hardly resist. It certainly seems durable enough to last a good set of time, and the driver/software (You have to download it from the SteelSeries website) has an EQ and pulsation settings, so there's control over both the sound and look.
The cord attached to the headset is a measly 1m long (USB, no jack lead)- Barely enough to get around the back of my machine with my head pressed against the screen. Luckily, it comes with a 2m extension lead. It's more leads and more clutter, which is a bit of a gripe, but hardly... Read more

Many know the Siberia V2. Comfortable, nice sound. Great gaming headset (well it is my music headset at work too).
The D3 headset adds a nice D3 skin on it (lights are not for you, except if you play in front of mirror, but are still a fun feature).
Too bad it is USB only.

2.0 out of 5 stars Forget about Diablo 2: this game has been built for the auction house., 20 Jun 2012

BE AWARE: 2 stars beacause to buy the CE now you must spend a ridiculous amount of money, otherwise it would be 3. Since there are tons of CE circulating (and yeah, many of them are in the hand of scalpers), 150 and over are an absolute overkill.

So, I bought my copy of D3 CE on eBay, after Amazon.co.uk kindly marked my preorder as "Undeliverable" (after hundreds of orders placed with no problem) forcing me to spending quite a lot of money. But hey, "I'm a Diablo 2 fan, sometimes money does not count" I said to myself.
It's impossible for me to count the hours I spent playin' Diablo 2 and LoD (and not mentioning the first Dablo). I think I'm probably in the range of two or three thousand of hours, since just the last year I spent about 4/500 hours at least on D2 + LoD, so believe me if I say that I know the series very well.
I was full of expectations for Diablo 3 but unfortunately this just a big disappointment and not because of error 37 (which was an issue of... Read more

OK - it is a good game. I mean, it's Diablo; a monster-bashing dungeon crawler, with a decent bit of a story to give it all a point. So yeah - it's a good game: When you're able to play it.

And that's the point. I'm not some entitled, bitter fanboy who'se disgruntled by the plot, gameplay, etc - my issue is purely practical. I'm also not normally someone who likes reviews about a product's DRM, but it's relevant here because you are always required to be online. Ok, I don't like that normally because it makes me feel like I don't actually own the game, but, ok, whatever you need to do, Blizzard. The issue is - it hardly ever works. I'm not joking, sadly - check out some of the forums on the Blizzard site.

This is the same company that runs WoW. You'd think they would understand that if you are going to release a product like this, requiring connection to a server in order to be able to play it, then you need to create a server room with sufficient space, and you... Read more

One can only respect BLIZZARD for not setting a release date before they knew they could meet it. No matter that this was the most awaited game for over a decade, they would release it "whenever it would be ready". Well, it is ready, it is here and it rocks. Too bad they kicked the respect bucket in the end. But first things first.

THE GOOD OLD GAMEPLAY GETS THE CIGAR
Seasoned and new gamers alike will appreciate the simple yet highly enjoyable gameplay. The factions are well balanced and the units perfectly valued. You gather minerals and vespene gas, you build your defenses, you upgrade, you expand, you gather your forces - and you unleash hell. Repeat as needed until satisfied.

      STARCRAFT: THE QUICKENING
The game is much faster than the original. Resource gathering, building, researching and expanding all go faster now. This is something that will appeal to most and I for one liked it. It conveys an enjoyable sense of urgency, adding to the immersion... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty - A brief and honest review., 24 Mar 2012

I came into the StarCraft universe through a clone, namely Atrox, and when that lead me to the original StarCraft I was so glad I picked it up for whatever pittance it cost.

I've been a fan of the franchise for as long as I've known it existed, and when I heard the news that a sequel wasn't just in the idea phase, but was almost ready to be released, I was beyond excited. It had taken long enough, right?

Let's just say that this is one instance where the hype didn't disappoint.

Would I have liked to play all three chapters of the story at once? Sure, but that's because it's a fantastic story!

This is a full game, no question. The upgrades systems are well thought out, the new additions to the unit lineups are exceptionally fun, and what little time was spent playing as the other races made me eager for the expansions.

I don't often buy video games when they're released. If I do buy a game I usually wait a year or two, but I will... Read more

      2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, 24 Dec 2010

Being an American living in the UK I purchased this game to play against my friends in the US. Generally I am happy with Blizzard as they support multiple operating systems off a single installation disk, but now I am disappointed. Not only have they stopped supporting direct IP address multiplayer gaming but they have also region locked the CD Keys so that someone with a european copy of the title cannot play against someone in another region. I understand that there may be latency issues in such game play but that should be up to the customer to decide whether is acceptable or not. Battle.net 2.0 is a real disappointment.

As far as single player game play is concerned I wasn't much impressed. The game graphics are an improvement over Starcraft 1 and there is a continuation of the storyline, but nothing significant. If you liked the original and would like to play it with updated graphics then this title is for you.
