1.0 out of 5 stars Too expensive and only lasted me a month., 10 July 2012

I bought this product a month ago, and to begin with I was pleased that I had a working authenticator. But now, I just went to log onto World of Warcraft and type in my authenticator number, but nothing popped up on the screen. It's attached to my keys, which are in my school bag a lot of the time, but there's no damage at all on the outside. Unfortunately authenticators are not battery replaceable which isn't helpful at all. I now plan on buying an authenticator from the Blizzard site, hoping that maybe it might work this time. I'm just not very impressed by how little this product has lasted me considering that it costed me 10.

You can get a phone application (iphone or Android) from Blizzard which will do the same thing but I find this to be a much better solution. It's smaller than a lighter and sits in my purse so that I can access my games or Battle.Net account details wherever I am.

Once you have the authenticator it is a simple process to link it to your account. Then every time you're prompted at log in, you press the button and enter the six figure code into the box. You don't have to authenticate every log in to a game, but you do have to use it each time you log into Battle.Net or the forums for Blizzard games.

With the launch of Diablo III it becomes even more important to secure your games and account access. Battle.Net balances and Diablo III's online 'Real Money Auction House' will make Battle.Net accounts even more valuable as targets for hackers. For 7 you can give your online games and Battle.Net account... Read more
